Nebraska Lumbermen's Association
Medal w/ Ribbon & Bar
June 12, 1905

The top bar is 2" across and in the middle pictures what appears to be three stacks of wood shingles with straps across the top and bottom of the stacks and a bar connecting the straps to confine the stacks into a bundle.  To the left of the bundle it says: WHATCOM, to the right says COUNTY, and below the bundle WASH.

A red satin ribbon connects the top bar to the drop.  The ribbon is nice and not torn or shredded as are so many of these.

The drop is 1 1/2" square and shaped like a Maltese cross.  The back of the cross is flat and marked A E COLBURN - MAKER.  Both the top bar and the drop appear to be made of the same material.  It is non-magnetic and appears much like tarnished silver although I can find no indication of that.  It more likely German silver or a plated pot-medal but is too heavy to be aluminum.

On the back of the sharpener is a stamped "2," "Baker Chocolate Girl," & "Reg U. S. Pat. Off."

Very good condition. Small amount of chipping to the paint and light rust on the sharpener blade.

Overall, one of the nicer ones I have seen.
